#TheReadingQuest is a readathon created and hosted by Aentee at Read at Midnight for more details to sign-up to participate go here. It runs from the 13th of August until the 10th of September. The amazing artwork below was made by CW of Read, Think, Ponder!

The first book in a series – The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

This book has been sitting on my shelf for wayyyyy too long and it’s about time I get to it. I have high hopes for this book and am fingers crossed that it lives up to the hype.

A book set in a different world – Red Rising by Pierce Brown

I’ve actually almost unhauled this book a couple of times but something keeps stopping me from doing it, maybe the universe knows I’m going to like it?

A book based on mythology – The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan

This challenge has Ricks name all over it. I currently own two Riordan books that I haven’t read yet ( this and Magnus Chase) but decided to go with this one first…don’t ask me why because I have no idea.

A book that contains magic – A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab

Everyone and their dog loves this book series including Ely so I better give it a go. I’m not sure what I’m going to think of it yet despite shining reviews.

A book with a one-word title – Disruption by Jessica Shrivington

I am looking forward to this one because I’ve read a couple of Jessica Shrivingtons books before and have loved them and am hoping that this is no exception. Angel of at Angel Reads really likes this duology I believe.

I do have a handful of other books I am also considering reading or reading instead of these but that is only if I change my mind during the readathon, which to be honest is likely for me to do. I’ll be posting updates on how I am doing with this readathon on my twitter so go check me out at @LovelyGirlReads

The first book in a series: The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor

A book set in a different world: The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan

A book based on mythology: The Once and Future King by T.H White

A book that contains magic: A Conjuring of Light by V.E Schwab

A book with a one-word title: Flamecaster by Cinda Williams Chima

  1. Good luck, ladies! I love that you’re both mages – I’m going to be one too. I give thumbs up for The Wrath & The Dawn, Red Rising, and the Schwab books. Happy reading! ♥

  2. I’m also going to join as a Mage.

Red Rising is a great idea! Maybe I’ll change to that one, ’cause I haven’t read it yet, but it’s stuck on my shelves.
I’m also going to read a book by Rick Riordan. I love his books so I can’t see why we won’t enjoy them. 🙂

@Ely: I don’t know any of your books, but I hope you’ll enjoy them!

    Have fun you guys 🙂

    Here’s my TBR.
