We are pretty big fans of readathons here at Tea and Titles even though we really aren’t that good at them. In the spirit of not giving up on readathons for good we have decided to participate in the Book Buddy-a-thon with our good buddy (hehe get it) Angel from Angel Reads.
Dates will be 6th-12th of May, you can find out more information about the Book Buddy-a-thon from Elena @ Elena Reads Books on Youtube.
Because there is three of us (Ely, Angel and Myself) we will be splitting the challenges amongst us to make it less stressful and more manageable for us.
A book that is Angel’s fave colour
Angel’s favourite colour is purple, I am a fan of purple myself and am more than happy to complete this task….now for the book choosing part.
I’ve picked Half-Blood my Jennifer L Armentrout because obviously, it fits the criteria of being purple, but it also has the added benefit of being short so it’s perfect for a readathon. I’ve been told this is very similar to Vampire Academy with some trusted sources saying it’s even better.
Book Angel has picked for me (from 3 suggestions)
I laid 3 suggestions out for Angel, And I Darken, Blood of Olympus and Disruption and she chose Blood of Olympus. I am so so over the moon to read this but also kind of scared because it’s the last book in the wonderful series.
Guilty pleasure read
For this I am just going to read a book I feel like reading and I think that will be Radical Self-Love by Gala Darling because I have been devouring a lot of non-fiction lately and have been especially focusing on areas of self-improvement and empowerment.
Buddy read with Angel
Angel and I are starting our buddy re-read of Clockwork Prince this month. I loved rereading the first book, so I’m incredibly excited to see how this one goes. If you haven’t already, you can see our discussion post here.
Book starting with the letter ‘A’
This is another re-read for me, but I’ll be picking up Am I Normal Yet? by Holly Bourne. I’m analysing it for my thesis, so this read is about me taking notes and connecting it to my theories and whatnot. I am really, really excited to reread this because it was my favourite book last year.
Guilty pleasure read
I don’t really subscribe to the idea of ‘guilty pleasure’ reading—I don’t think you ever be ashamed of reading. Anyway, I decided to just use this as a ‘read a fun book’ challenge. With that in mind, I chose 7,300 Days by Isabella Mente, which is a poetry collection.
And that’s it! Make sure to check out Angel’s post for her TBR, and Elena’s video if you’d like to participate. You can see our previous post on why Ely is a youth ambassador here, and to make sure you don’t miss anything, you can follow us on Facebook here. Until next time…
