Read-O-Rama TBR

Posted March 11, 2017 by Michelle in TBR / 6 Comments

Hey all, I am planning to participate in the Read-O-Rama readathon that is coming up on the 12th until the 18th of March, I really need a readathon to get through my tbr so this has come at a good time.

For more information on Read-O-Rama visit their twitter here.

There are 8 challenges for Read-O-Rama and let’s be honest I’m not likely to complete all of them so I’ll just be doing a couple of the challenges to help shape my tbr.

Science and Spaceship by Robert M Blake

Robert M. Blake is a poet and as you can imagine these are poetry novels. I am in the hopes that these books arrive at my door this  coming week so I can delve into them for this readathon. I am a huuuuge poetry lover and from what I have already read of his works R.M Blake is shaping up to being one of my favourites. Spaceship completes the main challenge of read-o-rama by having the word RAMA in the title and authors name.

Red Glove by Holly Black

I have kind of been avoiding the remainder of this series because I’ve almost completely forgotten what happened in the first book, however I am going to take the plunge and continue with this series because I own it so why the hell not. I’d also like to thank Jolien from the Fictional Reader for helping inspire me to read this with this non-spoiler review.

They Do It With Mirrors by Agatha Christie

One of the challenges was to read a book where the characters first initial was the same as your first initial. My name starts with M and I’ve decided to read a Miss Marple, Agatha Christie novel. I know it’s not entirely the same thing but I’m going to count it because I am a rebel and rule breaker. This is a relatively short book and I should be able to get through this rather quickly, It will be my third Christie novel.

Lady Helen and The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman

This book is kind of cheating because I am already currently reading it and am over halfway buuuut I didn’t know which other book to add to my tbr and I figured that I probably wont finish this before the readathon starts so I’m adding it in here. I should be pretty much done by the 12th so it will more then likely me finishing the remaining chapters. This book also counts towards the challenge to read a first book in a series.

This tbr is by no means set in stone so we shall see where the week takes us and I am just excited to keep reading and getting through my tbr.

  1. OMG, Ely, I am going to participate in Read-O-Rama too! I just wrapped up the TBR for it; it’ll go up on Sunday (midnight). I loved Red Glove, so I hope you enjoy it, too. I am reading another one of Holly Black’s books, The Coldest Girl in Cold Town. I also own Dark Days Club. I’d like to read it soon. But, not this week probably.

  2. *sigh* You guys are like my subscription to read-a-thons. And I really, really want to join on this one but I’m suuuuper busy lately. I recently finished an Agatha Christie novel, The Seven Dials Mystery. It was such a thrilling and also fun read. It’s the first Agatha Christie novel I read that is packed with so much humour. I really want to read more books from that series (Superintendent Battle).

Good luck with the read-a-thon, Michelle!
