It is that time of the month again where Ely and I share the last 5 books added to our TBR’s and why we want to read them. If you have read any of the books we have listed please feel free to tell us your thoughts.
A Gathering of Shadows by V.E Schwab
I just finished A Darker Shade of Magic and then immediately added this book to my TBR. At first I wasn’t loving the first book it was going quite slow but after the first 100 pgs I got really caught up in it.
Wonder Woman-Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
I mean it’s Wonder Woman! It’s Wonder Woman in a YA fic and I couldn’t be more excited.
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
Another book I recently read was the first in this series, An Ember in the Ashes and I freaking loved it. I actually was not expecting so much from thi book but it was so action packed and savage I definitely recommend.
Here Lies Daniel Tate by Cristin Terrill
I’ve seen a few of my friends on goodreads really love this book and thats what first peaked my curiosity. From what I understand this book is about a young homeless boy that assumes the identity of another young boy from an affluent family, that went missing. I believe this book is full of twists and turns and sounds pretty cool.
Little and Lion by Brandy Colbert
From what I understand this is a contemporary novel featuring strong diversity and mental illness rep, which is what I am all about.
The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic by Leigh Bardugo
I think most people could agree that this year has been huge for Leigh Bardugo with Wonder Woman—Warbringer, and soon The Language of Thorns. I’m super excited about this one, though I’ve made a promise with myself to read Crooked Kingdom before I buy this or WW.
The Surface Breaks by Louise O’Neill
I read Only Ever Yours early this month and loved it so when I saw there was a new Louise O’Neill I added it to my TBR immediately. No questions asked.
The Extremely Inconvenient Adventures of Bronte Mettlestone by Jaclyn Moriarty
I’m really trying to read some MG, and this one has a gorgeous cover. I can’t remember where I heard about this, but it sounds amazing!
Depression & Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaim
Would it be a T&T post if we didn’t mention poetry?
The End We Start From by Megan Hunter
I believe this is an adult dystopian? I’ve been really getting into that genre because of Margaret Atwood so I’m interested to see how this is!
